Gorilla Highlands Coffee was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to create sustainable economic opportunities for communities living alongside the mountain gorilla habitats of Southwestern Uganda while protecting one of the world's most precious ecosystems.
Nestled around the breathtaking landscapes of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, our coffee is cultivated in rich volcanic soils at high altitudes, producing distinctive specialty-grade Arabica coffee known for its exceptional flavor, aroma, and quality.
Over 60% of our participating farmers are women, making Gorilla Highlands Coffee a powerful vehicle for economic inclusion and gender empowerment. Through training, market access, and community initiatives, women and young people are equipped with the skills and opportunities needed to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Our commitment extends beyond coffee production. By promoting sustainable farming practices and creating alternative sources of income, we help reduce pressure on protected forests and contribute to the long-term conservation of the endangered mountain gorillas and their habitat.

About Gorilla Highlands Coffee
Gorilla Highlands Coffee is a specialty coffee brand grown in southwestern Uganda, around Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga National Park, where premium coffee, community empowerment, and environmental conservation go hand in hand.
This coffee project supports over 1,500 smallholder farmers, with a strong focus on sustainable agriculture, local empowerment, and long-term social impact.
Many farmers grow coffee alongside food crops such as beans, maize, and avocados, helping strengthen food security for their households and communities.
Around 60% of the participating farmers are women, making Gorilla Highlands Coffee not only a premium coffee story, but also a story of inclusion, dignity, and shared progress.
