School Coffee Club program
We believe that coffee is a powerful tool for social change. This is why we are committed to helping children in rural Uganda gain access to education through our school coffee clubs.
INTRODUCTION
Our pilot project in St. Gertrudes Kisoro was launched in May 2019. Schools in Uganda are faced with an education crisis. We seek to provide coffee seedlings to a school group, coordinate all agricultural training to grow and care for the seedlings, and four years later, at harvest time, the proceeds from the coffee are used to pay the students' school fees. Since May 2019, GHC has provided school uniforms, books, shoes and other supplies to more children through our school coffee club program. The coffee clubs are an integral part of our mission to provide higher educational opportunities for children in Uganda.OUR AIM
Through our school coffee clubs, we aim to improve the education of rural children in Uganda by providing a scholarship for students in need.OUR GOAL
Our goal is to- create sustainable projects that will provide students with both an education and a career path in the coffee industry.
- help increase attendance, improve grades, and encourage children to pursue higher education.
- provide students with the school supplies they need, including uniforms, books and pens.
